It’s hard to believe that just a little over a week ago I was climbing the mountains around Qumran. This picture is overlooking the Dead Sea or Salt Sea. This was the site where the Dead Sea scrolls were found in the 1940’s through the 1970’s. They were hidden up in caves that were carved into the rock walls. It is a rock climbers dream. This was one of the two serious hikes we did on the Israel Trip, as you can see i was very very hot. I was so grateful for the opportunity to go to Israel. I learned a lot and I am getting all of my pictures together to show family, friends, and church members. This will take place on November 5 at 7:00 pm at GLCC. I will also be talking about another trip in 2009 and the possiblity of family, friends and members of GLCC coming along. I hope to see you there
